With four weeks of ministry, traveling and living amongst the people of Malawi behind us, an excitement started to grow amongst us. Hendre and Brumilda joined us from South Africa late Sunday afternoon, tired after their long trip but happy to see us.
We headed out to Cape Maclear a day earlier than we thought we would and without a good idea of where we are staying we just climbed on the back of the first Matola that came past in that direction.
Cape Maclear was wonderfull, and the backpackers ( Mulambe ) we were staying in was very nice, right on the beach, close to everything, with a wonderfull view and very hospitable people.
We swam in the beautiful blue waters of Lake Malawi.

Snorkelled at an island in the lake.

Ate some lekker local fish.

Tried to row in a local fishing canoe.

Visited some local restaurants and joined the bonfire drumming session.

But the most special thing I think to all of us about Cape Maclear is it’s absolutely amazing sunsets.
